Google MapsSOLO is the biggest risk: underwater you can black out from lack of oxygen silently and fatally, with no one around. Solo is never truly «safe». Below are the best weather windows; carry a buoy, tell someone your plan and exit time, and any doubt — don't go.

Rules change and are loosely enforced. Before heading out, check with INSOPESCA (underwater permit, FVAS card + RIF); PN Morrocoy and other park zones are restricted.
Adícora has rock entry points such as Bajos de Adícora. Adícora, on the east coast of the Paraguaná peninsula (Falcón), is an old fishing village outside any park — legal to hunt. Below you'll find each spot (access, shelter and hazards) and today's forecast.
Best in the dry season (Dec–Apr); patchy upwelling can bring surprisingly clear, cooler water to the central coast.
Warm, ~25–28 °C — rashguard or 2 mm. Upwelling patches drop it and clear it; Chichiriviche de la Costa is the clear-water reference.
Moderate: steep, deep-access reefs off the central coast — Chichiriviche de la Costa suits confident divers.
In Adícora you need an INSOPESCA licence and a speargun permit (porte de arpón, DAEX); breath-hold only. Important: in the national parks (Los Roques, Morrocoy, Mochima, La Restinga) spearfishing is BANNED (no-take) — hunt only at spots outside the parks. Official minimum sizes aren't published; use conservative limits and release anything doubtful. Factor in country safety/logistics. See the guide.
