Google MapsSOLO is the biggest risk: underwater you can black out from lack of oxygen silently and fatally, with no one around. Solo is never truly «safe». Below are the best weather windows; carry a buoy, tell someone your plan and exit time, and any doubt — don't go.

Check the cam BEFORE you leave. Foam, brown/green murk, or waves washing the entry rocks = No-go. At night/in fog the cam is useless — treat it as «unknown», NOT «green».
Rules are PROVINCIAL and vary. Before heading out, check with your province's authority (Chubut — free licence; Río Negro; Buenos Aires — Ciudadano Digital / Flora y Fauna); sea spearfishing is allowed, banned only in inland waters.
San Clemente del Tuyú has rock entry points such as Muelle de Pesca San Clemente. The northernmost point of the Buenos Aires coast, at the mouth of the Río de la Plata (Punta Rasa). Below you'll find each spot (access, shelter and hazards) and today's forecast.
Summer (Dec–Mar) — the only warm window; sudestada and an open shelf. Spearfishing grey — check.
Summer 18–22 °C — 5 mm suit; winter 8–12 °C — 7 mm. Open shelf, sudestada.
Hard: open shelf, sudestada, grey spearfishing law. Plan for summer and offshore wind.
In San Clemente del Tuyú (Argentina) the rules are PROVINCIAL. Río Negro (Ley 5.706/2024): apnea only, no night. Chubut: free permit + Valdés cupo. In Buenos Aires spearfishing is NOT regulated (grey zone) — we don't promote hunting natives until the province text is verified. All National Parks (Islote Lobos, Monte León, PN Tierra del Fuego) and Península Valdés = no-take. See the guide.
