Crocodiles can be in any water here, the sea included (Queensland Government), and SLSQ says box jellyfish and Irukandji may be present all year. The mark is the granite boulders at the north end of Cherry Tree Bay, a walk-in beach below Grassy Hill; low tide exposes more rock. About 0.5 to 5 m by bathymetry. The nearest Great Barrier Reef Coast marine national park zone, closed to all fishing under Queensland rules, is about 14 km away.
