The Jurassic platier that runs east out of the Cap-Romain, OUTSIDE the reserve: slabs, short fissures and erratic boulders — the fishermen's «gas», dropped there by ice. 0 m LAT on the slab (+7 m at high water), 47 m off the shoreline, entry by the slipway. On the fish: bass, mullet, ballan wrasse and European lobster. Crustaceans by HAND only — no speargun, no pole-spear (R921-92 II.5). ⚠️ hunt the high-water window: at low water the platier dries out. ⚠️ the Cap-Romain reserve boundary is 273 m to the west: the polygon decides, not the name of the beach. ⛔ BATHING ZONE: this mark is INSIDE it. As soon as the balisage is up (lifeguards daily in July and August), spearfishing here is FORBIDDEN — municipal arrêté AM 2025-038, section 1 art. 10, between the rue des Bains channel and the place du Général de Gaulle slipway. Out of the buoyed season it dives; with the buoys out, it does not. Mark yourself: a red flag with a St Andrew's cross flown on a BUOY (arrêté 41/2018 PRÉMAR MEMN, art. 4). Bass: spearfishing CLOSED 01.02–31.03 (ICES 4c/7d); outside the window, 3 fish per day per hunter, minimum landing size ≥ 42 cm.
