Podvodni ribolov na zapadnoj obali SAD-a

Zapadna obala je hladna voda, alge i Kalifornijska struja: white seabass i yellowtail u južnoj šumi algi, lingcod i rockfish na kamenu na sjeveru. To je tehnički i lijep podvodni ribolov — ali protkan najgušćom mrežom morskih zaštićenih područja u SAD-u, prije svega u Kaliforniji. Razlikovati SMR od SMCA razlika je između sjajnog dana i kazne. Ovaj vodič to slaže i povezuje se s prognozom svakog grada.

Poprečna pravila Pacifika: bodljikavi jastog vadi se SAMO rukom (nikad harpunom), a nekoliko vrsta je potpuno zaštićeno — divovski (crni) brancin i garibaldi u Kaliforniji, te yelloweye rockfish u Washingtonu (bez zadržavanja). Oregon, Washington i sigurnost

Oregon od 1. sij 2026. traži novi Ocean Endorsement ($9 godišnje, $4 dnevno) za ribolov ili harpun u oceanu — uz izuzetke (samo školjkaši, ili samo losos/steelhead). Država ima 5 no-take morskih rezervi (Cape Falcon, Cascade Head, Otter Rock, Cape Perpetua, Redfish Rocks). Washington traži dozvolu i Catch Record Card za halibuta; Edmonds Underwater Park je vodeći no-take. Cijeli sjeverozapad je hladna voda (8–14 °C) i promjenjiva vidljivost: roni po zatišju, s plovkom i zastavom.

Rules current as of 2026 — spearfishing law is STATE-by-state in the US. License, spearable species, powerhead rules and beach/pier buffers all vary; federal sanctuaries (Gray's Reef, FL Keys, Flower Garden Banks) ban spearfishing. Always confirm with the state agency and local ordinances before you go.
