The cape that closes Varazze to the west, where the seafront promenade ends and the rock towards Celle begins: serpentinite slabs running into the water and carrying on down, boulders and vertical fissures, patchy posidonia along the sand edge. This is the deep ground of the coast — 400 m out EMODnet reads −18.4 m, three times Arenzano — so grouper here is not a figure of speech and dentex pass through. Close in: octopus among the boulders, sargo and saddled bream on the points, gilthead along the sand edge. It faces SOUTH-EAST: a libeccio breaks along the whole point and you see nothing, a tramontana settles it and it clears in half a day. Boat traffic to the marina — float in sight, always.
