- window
- Summer and autumn, at high water so you can get out up the wall, and with no northerly.
- tide
- Cantabrian regime, spring range up to 4.5 m. The Deba bar empties right alongside: on an ebb with the river up the water leaves turbid and fast.
- shelter
- Nothing in front and a wall behind: with a north-west groundswell there is nowhere to tuck in.
- conditions
- Wall and slabs from 5 to 14 m; the cleanest water in the municipality, 7-9 m, because the Deba is 1.3 km west.
- hazard
- IT IS INSIDE the biotope's Zona de Protección Marina (3,520 ha, out to the internal-waters line): Decreto 33/2009 does NOT forbid fishing in it. What is banned outright is the Zona de Reserva, and it starts 101 m east of this mark — one minute of finning. Look at the map before drifting that way, because the ebb sets exactly in that direction.
- access
- The flysch path to the end of the open stretch, 1.4 km from the beach, and down through the cleft.
The last open stretch before the Zona de Reserva; wall and slabs at 5-14 m. It is INSIDE the biotope's Zona de Protección Marina — 3,520 ha where fishing is not banned — and 101 m from the total closure.
