Sezona, voda i sigurnost

Sjeveroistok traje lipanj–listopad, s vodom 12–20 °C u punom ljetu i jakim makro-plimama u Maineu — roni u zatišju.

Frequently asked questions

Rules current as of 2026 — spearfishing law is STATE-by-state in the US. License, spearable species, powerhead rules and beach/pier buffers all vary; federal sanctuaries (Gray's Reef, FL Keys, Flower Garden Banks) ban spearfishing. Always confirm with the state agency and local ordinances before you go.

U kojim državama smijem harpunirati striped bass?

Da u Rhode Islandu, New Yorku, New Jerseyju, Delawareu i Virginiji; vrlo vjerojatno da u New Hampshireu (nema zabrane). NE u Maineu, Massachusettsu, Connecticutu, Marylandu, Sjevernoj i Južnoj Karolini. Provjeri veličinu i sezonu (tipično 28–31", 1/dan) na stranici svog grada.

Koliko stoji dozvola na istočnoj obali?

Jeftina ili besplatna. New York i New Jersey imaju besplatan registar; Maine ~$1–2; Massachusetts $10 (60+ besplatno); Rhode Island $7 rez/$10 nerez; Delaware $8.50/$20; Virginia $17.50/$25; Florida $17/$47. Južna Karolina je najskuplja za strance (~$75). Nova Engleska ima reciprocitet (ME/MA/RI/CT/NY).

Gdje su najbolje olupine?

Sjeverna Karolina («Graveyard of the Atlantic») i New Jersey imaju guste polja olupina; u NC, one Golfske struje u pučini daju toplu, bistru vodu (20–28 °C).
