- With Libeccio in the forecast the useful window shortens by itself, long before sunset. With ten metres of water 830 m from the shore, the band where you meet the local orders is all of it right here. The afternoon wind often closes the day before the light does. Italian law is the same everywhere; it is the local command that applies it.

- At Moneglia-Framura the tidal cycle shows in the thread of current and not in the level of the water. The level moves by a few centimetres and opens or closes no passage at all. With Libeccio strengthening the inshore current picks up before the swell does. The ten-metre line, 830 m offshore, does not move with the level: it moves with the swell.

- The channel between the rock and the coast is the part that settles first and the part that turns awkward last. With an exposure of 235° the awkward sector runs from south to west, and outside it the day is usually saved. At Moneglia-Framura the difference between a bad day and a good one is a hundred metres of coast, not an hour of waiting. With the wind from the northeast at your back you can work; with the swell from the southwest in your face you look and go home.

- Depth does not come to you here: out to 830 m from the shore you are in a bare ten metres. The outside water arrives when the wind from the northeast pushes it in; with an old sea it stays offshore for days. With Libeccio strengthening, the good window closes without warning. By 830 m from the shore you already know whether it is worth going on.
- κίνδυνος
- On the shoreline at Moneglia-Framura the same national rules apply without discounts: breath-hold, daylight, marker in sight. Around an islet the way back to shore is always longer than it looks from outside. At 70 m from the shore no emergency sorts itself out: come out at the first sign. Blackout gives no warning, and the margins shrink when you are tired.
- πρόσβαση
- The crossing out to the structure is the exposed part of the day. Between the coast and the mark there are 70 m of water, to be counted twice, out and back. Fix a landmark ashore in your head: from out there the coast changes face. Carry out what you carry in, and what you find as well.
