Spearfishing in La Ventana combines Isla Cerralvo with rocky reefs toward Las Arenas and Ensenada de Muertos. Cerralvo is the deeper boat option at 5-26 m; Las Arenas/Punta Perico can work from shore or boat in 3-15 m; Punta Gorda and Bahia de los Sueños/Los Muertos round out the shallow-to-mid-depth rock. Treat all as intermediate. Carry the CONAPESCA/SADER permit, hunt on apnea only, and skip protected, coral or unclear water.
Do not read La Ventana as one beach. The useful choice is between Cerralvo structure and the Las Arenas line, depending on wind, pickup and exit.

Rules change. Before heading out, check with CONAPESCA/SADER (E5CINCO permit), CONANP (no-take marine ANPs) and NOM-059; apnea only.
Wind, drift and pickup decide the day. Cerralvo can work in clear moving water, but if the boat cannot track the float, use Las Arenas or cancel. Warm months suit cabrilla, snapper, barracuda and grouper; tide change can matter more. Mexico still requires a CONAPESCA/SADER permit, apnea only, one band or pneumatic speargun, five fish per day, distance from swimmers or commercial gear, no lobster, conch or octopus, and no shooting in ANP cores, coral or uncertain polygons.
