- Work at first light: the beach bar in the cove opens around eleven and after that the place is taken. From 1 July to 31 August rock octopus is closed in the inner waters of Tarragona, and the beach is packed on top of that. The best pairing is May and October, water at 18 and 22 degrees. Night spearfishing is banned.

- The tide here is twenty centimetres and does not enter the calculation. What matters is different: the Ebro delta twenty kilometres to the south. With steady southeasterly wind the muddy river plume drags northeast along the coast and reaches Cala Forn last: it is nearly always clearer here than at the southern headlands.
- zaklon
- The cove faces southeast and to the north it is covered by the point running towards Sant Jordi d'Alfama. Mestral from the northwest is the working wind here: it comes off the land through the pines and leaves the cove like a mirror. Llevant from the east, around a hundred degrees, walks straight in and breaks on the pebble entry.
- uvjeti
- The working sector runs from 270 to 40 degrees. Anything falling between 60 and 165 shuts the cove, and the worst is a hundred degrees. On a clean day you see 10–18 metres along the rock steps; after a blow, two or three, and the murk hangs longer than usual because of the sand bottom deep in the cove.
