- The beach clock rules here: from mid-morning the shuttle boats arrive from Sant Antoni, the beach bar opens and the cove becomes something else, so either you get in at dawn or you do not get in. In May and October it is quiet nearly all day. At night the law forbids it.

- As in the rest of the Balearics, the tide here does not reach a hand's width and is no reference for anything. The level is moved by wind: with a steady ponent water piles up inside the bay of Portmany and with an easterly it draws back a little, more noticeable on the sandy shore than on the rock.

- Tucked on the southern shore of the bay of Portmany, the cove has pinewood and land at its back, so S and SW winds pass overhead and the water stays still. The westerly sea arrives already broken after rounding the headland, but a N-NE wind gets inside and spoils it.
- uvjeti
- The sandy bottom lifts with almost nothing, so the work is on the rocky edges at either end of the cove and along the rim of the meadow, where the water holds clear for longer. With a northerly settled into the bay everything clouds over and it is not worth it; in calm the visibility is very good.
